Aaron (MK) Hood was born January 12, 1929 to the late Payton Hood and Arizona (McCoy) Hood.He was the second of nine children; five have preceded him in death, Lizitta Gray, Margie Dickerson, Inez Green, Jennie M. Johnson and Nathaniel Hood. He proclaimed Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. He began his walk with Christ as a member of Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church. He was married to Blanche (Jenkins) Hood and to this union, five children were born.His wife and daughter, Aaron Lorraine Hood Rector preceded him in death. Aaron enlisted in the United States Army after attending school.He received several medals and honors.He was employed at Armour Packing Company in Kansas City, Missouri.He retired and returned back home and started to work at Tiffany's in Conway until the business closed.His hobbies were gardening for his family and community, hunting and fishing.He was a good fisherman.He enjoyed traveling out of state to visit his family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory five sons; Larry Joe Hood of Sam Clemente, California, Kenneth (Diane) Hood Bigelow, Arkansas, Donnie Hood and Kerry Hood of Morrilton, Arkansas and Marcuiece Hood of Omaha, Nebraska, one daughter, Octavia Johnson of Menifee, Arkansas, one sister, Izola (Hood) Shavers of Morrilton, Arkansas, two brothers, Theodore Hood of Russellville, Arkansas, Bobby Hood of Menifee, Arkansas, 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service for Mr. Hood will be Wednesday, August 19, 2015, 11:00 A.M. at Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church in Menifee, Arkansas by Pastor Robert Thompson. Interment will be in Menifee Community Cemetery.
