Obituary

Aileen Moore 63, transitioned on Wednesday July 9, 2025, in Nashville, TN. Aileen "Carolyn" Moore was born in Hattieville, Arkansas, to the late T.J.Moore and Joe Willie McVay Moore. She gave her life to Christ at a young age and was baptized at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Her quiet faith and love for God stayed with her throughout her life. Carolyn was the mother of LaWanna Murray, TarEasha (John) Jones, PreTrishe (Matthias) Adilue, and the late William "Man" Murray. She was "Nana" to ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild, all of whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by her siblings: Annie (Dennis) Ealy, Rebecca Ealy, Thomas McVay, Deloise (Alfred) Moore Lewis, and Theodora Moore. Carolyn was known for her bold personality, her straight talk, and her big heart. She could cook a meal you'd never forget and send a morning text that made your whole day. If she loved you — and she probably did — she always found a way to show it. Carolyn didn't get as much time as we hoped, but in the time she had, she made it count. She lived real, loved hard, and left a mark that won't be forgotten. Your body is away from me but there is a window open from my heart to yours.
