Bertha Mae Byers, age 85 of Morrilton, Arkansas passed away Thursday, August 28, 2014. She is survived by six daughters; Phyllis Canady of Little Rock, Arkansas, LaVeta Hunter of Maumelle, Arkansas, Janice Haynes of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Georgia Rainey, Joyceteen Roseburr and Staytoria Byers all of Kansas City, Missouri, three sons; Walter Byers, Frank Byers and Theotis Byers all of Kansas City, Missouri, 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and one brother, Herman Canady of Cleveland, Arkansas. Funeral service for Mrs. Byers will be at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church 3433 Hwy 95 in Cleveland, Arkansas, Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. by Rev. Patrick E. Greene, Sr. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery 2801 Asher Avenue in Little Rock, Arkansas. The body will lie in state from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. the day of the funeral at the church.
