Sis. Bertha Lee Hardiman Johnson was born September 18, 1922 to the late Adolphus Hardiman & Mattie Bryson Hardiman in Plumerville, Arkansas. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with Mt. Carmel Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. T. L. Dorris.She remained a faithful member until she moved to Kansas City, Missouri.She joined Friendship Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri where she remained a faithful member until her health failed.She moved back to Arkansas in December of 1998 into River Chase Healthcare Center.She was confined, but her heart always remained with Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Family, even though she couldn't attend. She attended school in Plumerville, Arkansas.She also attended Cosmetology School, Rock Hurst College and Metropolitan Community College.She worked at Western Electric until her retirement.She was a member of Lone Star Chapter 2 O.E.S in Kansas City, Missouri. She united in marriage to Cornelius Johnson, who preceded her in death. Her siblings who preceded her in death were:William Hardiman, Mattie Lee Garmon, Haley Hardiman and Addie Hervey.A special great niece, Hivlies (Jeanette) Ingram also preceded her in death. She answered her call to eternal life on June 3, 2015. She leaves to cherish her memories, one sister-in-law, Exie Hardiman-Johnson, of Plumerville, Arkansas, her special niece and her husband James and Mattie Brewer of Springfield, Arkansas, numerous nieces, great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service form Mrs. Johnson will be Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Plumerville by Rev. Brandon Williams. Interment will be in Edmondson Cemetery in Plumerville, Arkansas.
