Mr. Charles Leapheart, 72 transitioned on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at CHI Morrilton. Charles Edward Leapheart was born November 24, 1950, in Atkins, Arkansas to the late E.L. Leapheart and Inez Henson Leapheart. He accepted Christ at an early age at St. Matthew #3 in Blackwell, Arkansas. Charles wore the bars of Lieutenant in the United States Army, earning his commission while attending Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas. While attending Arkansas Tech he also completed the ROTC program and Advanced Camp which is a requirement for Lieutenant. He summarily earned his Bachelor of Science Degree and his master's degree in Elementary Education at Arkansas Tech as well. He retired at the rank of Major in the United States Army. He worked at numerous livestock auctions and at the nuclear plant after his military career. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; Eddie and Tobitha Leapheart, Alfred and Ida Dean Henson; sisters, Mae Leapheart and Patricia Canady and his children's mother Gloria Stricklen Leapheart. He is survived by his three children; Latonio White, Kristy (D'Andre) Doss and Keri Leapheart; five sisters, Carolyn Betts, Kathy (Michael) Franklin, Sarah (Randy) Kemp, Martha Dillard, Linda Leapheart, brother, Louis Leapheart, three aunts, Ivo Foster, Ophelia Monroe, Ora Henson, eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, thirteen nieces and nine nephews; and thirty-one great nieces and nephews.
