Clifton Clarence Acker, known as C.C., was born on February 13, 1930 to the late Elmer and Mable Acker in Springfield, Arkansas. He was the first born of five children. He completed his earthly journey on May 19, 2009 at Riverview Healthcare Center in Morriltn, Arkansas. C.C. graduated from the Union Chapel Junior High School, (Springfield, AR) and Conway County Training School (Menifee, AR). He received a B.S. degree in Technical Agriculture in 1955 from AM&N College (Pine Bluff, AR)and received the Master of Science degree in Horticulture in 1958 from Iowa State University (Ames, Iowa). C.C. served active duty in the U.S. Army from August 1952 to August 1954 and was honorably discharged August 1961.C.C. exchanged vows with Ethel Dexter on June 24, 1960. On July 28, 1991, he united in holy matrimony with Christean Robbins. Clifton was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Mable Acker and one brother, Connie Charles Acker. Mourning his loss, yet rejoicing in his purposeful llife are hiswife of 17 years, Christean; children by marriage, JoeRobbins III of Phoenix, AZ and Deborah Robins of Little , AR; sister, Althalene Clark of Flint, Michigan, two brothers, Willie Acker and Bobbie Acker of Denver, Colorado.
