Mr. Clifton Erby,68 of Little Rock, Arkansas transitioned on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Clifton “Cliff” L. Erby AKA “C-Bo” was born August 18,1957. Raised in Morrilton, he was a passionate sports fan. A graduate of Morrilton High School, Cliff proudly played football for the Devil Dogs and helped lead his 1973 team to an AA state championship. Cliff later relocated to Little Rock, serving for 23 years as the kitchen supervisor and cook for the Salvation Army shelter. A leader in fulfilling the ministry's mission, he prepared massive holiday feasts and everyday community meals.

He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas Erby and Mamie (Ponds) Erby.

Cliff leaves to cherish his memories son, Stefan Watson of Morrilton, AR; daughter, Antoya (De) Jones of Conway, AR; grandchildren: De Jones III, Julien Jones and Monterius Jones of Conway, AR; sister: Lillian Erby Trimble of Kansas City, MO; nephew;Todd (Brenda) Trimble of Phoenix, AZ and a large extended family made up of descendants from the Erby, Ponds, Oliver, Wells, and Davis lineages, with deep roots in Central Arkansas; countless friends from Morrilton and Little Rock; and the dedicated team members of The Salvation Army Central Arkansas Area Command.

Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
