Diversa was born November 23, 1923 in Center Ridge, AR, the daughter of Dock and Myrtis (Morris) Clinkscale. She was one of six children. Two of whom preceded her in death. She professed a rewarding life in Christ at an early age. Diversa married Rubin Payne, September 1945 and remained a loyal wife until his death December 17, 2002. They had three children; one preceded her in death (Narvel Payne). She served as a role model to their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Diversa was a devoted housewife and mother, and also recieved training in social work and worked faithfully as a social worker. Diversa leaves to cherish her loving memory her son, Leroy Canady (Carla) of Grandview, MO, daughter, Shirlene Sanders of Plumerville, AR, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild. She also will be missed by surviving siblings, brother Nathan Clinkscale and sister Classie Hawkins both of Center Ridge, AR and sister Azerlee Sykes of Morrilton, AR as well as many nices, nephews, cousins and friends.
