Dorothy Ross was born January 3, 1952 to William Foster and the late Bervie Foster in Morrilton, Arkansas. She went home to be with the Lord January 17, 2011. Her hope in Christ was professed at an early age when she united with the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Morrilton, AR, where she served as a Sunday shcool teacher, usher and a member of the Mission Society until her health began to fail. She later joined Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kansas to be with her daughters. She was united in holy matrimony to John D. Ross on May 5, 1973. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two brothers. She worked as a caregiver unitl her health failed. She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Donna (Darwin) Daniels and Tracy (Carlos) Garlington both of Kansas City, KS, her father, William Foster of Morrilton, AR, three sisters, Helen Wilburn, Helen Price and Regina (Leon) Taylor all of Morrilton, AR, four brothers, Willie Foster (Pam), Ray Foster (Lynn), Ronald Foster (Verna) and Henry Foster (Jennifer) all of Morrilton, four grandchildren and a host of family and friends that loved her dearly. Funeral service for Mrs. Ross will be Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. atMt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Morrilton, AR by Rev. Dwight D. Davis. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Morrilton.
