Duroncela
McKey-Richardson
September 18, 1961 – April 12, 2026
Duroncela McKey-Richardson, 64 of Conway, Arkansas transitioned on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Conway Regional Medical Center. She was born on September 18, 1961, to the late Alice “Pearl” Jackson and Warren Anthony McKey Sr. Duroncela attended L.E. Rabouin High School where she excelled academically as well as gained the respect of her peers. Following high school, she attended the University of New Orleans where she achieved her bachelor’s degree in accounting. While attending college, Duroncela met and fell in love with Eugene Richardson where they hit it off from the beginning. Soon after, they were married on February 14, 1981. Within her marriage, she was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Eugena Varshele Richardson and Jaina’ Marshele Richardson, both who are the light of her heart.
Following college, she began a career in banking where she excelled. While at the establishment of Fidelity Homestead Bank, she flourished. Within her 20 plus years with the company, she made countless connections with individuals who she remained close with. The term“Friends for a Life Time” was a direct quote she lived her life by.Following her career with Fidelity Homestead Bank, she began working with NODA Federal Credit Unionwhere she continued displaying her beautiful personality.
Duroncela was blessed with three amazing grandchildren. Selena Da’Shele Mason, Shylon David Mason and Ja’Lynn Brumfield were loved so immensely. Whenever she was in their presence, nothing else mattered.
Following the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in the year of 2005, Duroncela relocated to Arkansas. While in this new environment, she brought with her the toughness and fortitude to start over. She was a God-fearing woman who believed in the supreme power of the church. While in Arkansas, she began her work with the Conway County Community Visionaries as the Treasurer. Through the church, Duroncela also assisted with Synergy Saturday, which is a nationally recognized movement which redefines access to care. She did this all while maintaining employment with the Teletech Insurance Company where she ultimately retired from as a Customer Service/Insurance Agent.
Duroncela leaves to cherish her memory her daughters; Eugena Richardson and Jaina’ Richardson; grandchildren; Selena Mason, Shylon Mason and Ja’Lynn Brumfield; sisters, Angela McKey, LaToya Swington, Yolonda Hickman; brothers Raymond McKey, James Jackson, Warren (Carolyn) A. McKey Jr., Lorne (Tamala) McKey and Lester McKey. Duroncela also leaves behind a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who are all so deeply loved.
I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.

I am now at peace forever,
