Mr. Eddie Strickland, 70 of North Little Rock, Arkansas transitioned on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Baptist Health Springhill. Eddie Strickland, Jr. was born August 16, 1952 in Morrilton, Arkansas to the late Eddie G. Strickland and Mrs. Louise Strickland Garrett. He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined the St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Menifee, Arkansas under the leadership of Rev. Sylvester King. He rededicated his life back to Christ in 1990 under the leadership of Pastor David Gober, Jr. He was united in holy matrimony to Ethel Faye Clemons Janurary 24, 1975, until his departure. He attended school at Eastside High in Menifee, Arkansas and later went to the Job Corps and studied Carpentry. Eddie worked for J&M Hair Care Products for 15 years as lead engineer. He was employed with Pulaski County Special School District for 10 plus years where he was their Grounds Foreman until his passing. He is preceded in death by his father, Eddie G. Strickland; mother, Louise Strickland-Garrett; and step-father, Lee A. Garrett; two brothers, Eddie Joe Strickland, Billy Joe Strickland; two step-brothers; Isaac Garrett and Charles Garrett and one sister, Brenda Garrett. He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Ethel Faye Strickland; four daughters, Jocelyn Strickland, of New Jersey, Kenya Fleming (Trey), Apryl Strickland and Jasmine Strickland of Little Rock, Arkansas; and one son, Edrick Strickland of Little Rock, Arkansas. Grand-children, Trenton, Austin, Bella, Taylor and Dakota. Two brothers, Rickey Lee Garrett, Sr.(Clementine) of Conway, Arkansas, Michael Garrett(Kathy) of Hinesville, Georgia; four sisters, Hattie Rice(Milton), Connie Polk(Jerome), Sarah Gray and Patsy Garrett all of Menifee, Arkansas; three step-sisters: Elizabeth Arnold of Seattle, Washington; Myra Kimber, Earnestine Field of Kansas City, Kansas; and two step-brothers, Lee Garrett of Seattle, Washington, and Auska Garrett of Kansas City, Kansas and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
