Mr. Edward Ross 95, of Morrilton, Arkansas transitioned on May 15, 2024. Edward Ross was born July 8, 1928, to Robert Ross Sr. and Daisy Ross. Under the guidance of his parents, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior. He attended St. Paul AME Church, where he and his wife Cherry were very active. Later he became a member of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. Edward dropped out of school to help care for his younger siblings. He was known as the leader of the family. He used his love for people and a strong desire to help others to maintain a very lucrative business for T. P. Austin Scrap Metal Company. He worked there for many years. After leaving there he worked at Virco in Conway, Arkansas. Later he landed a job at Conway County Hospital, where he served the department of housekeeping for 20 years. Edward was seen as a valued, faithful employee and family man. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Cherry Alexandra Ross; siblings, June Ross, Charles Ross, Odis Ross, Burtha Mae Ross, Mary Ross, and Lula Gunnels. Edward is survived by his two sisters Rebecca Mail of Maryland and Bettie Davis of Sherwood and a host of other relatives and friends.
