Mrs. Ella Mae Burgess, age 99, of Morrilton, Arkansas died on Monday, March 9, 2020.

Born on May 28, 1920 in Center Ridge, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Clarentine Sullivan Fleming.

She retired from the Conway County School System in 1985.

Mrs. Burgess is survived by her children, Gloria Burgess Fender of Little Rock, Leonard Fleming (Audra) Burgess of Sherwood, Ruby Burgess of Morrilton; and a special niece/daughter, Anita Fleming-Rife of Ankeny, Iowa; four grandchildren: Paula Fender of Little Rock, Stacy A. (Angela) Burgess of Charlotte, North Carolina, Angela Y. Burgess of Texarkana, Texas and Brittney Nicole Hodges Burgess of Little Rock, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral service for Mrs. Burgess will be Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 11:30 A.M. at Union Missionary Baptist Church in Morrilton, Arkansas by Rev. Delaney Fleming.

Interment will be in Spring Valley Cemetery in Morrilton, Arkansas by Wilson & Jarrett Funeral Home of Morrilton.

Public viewing will be from 2 to 5 at the funeral home Friday afternoon, March 20, 2020.

Family hour, (for the family only), will be Friday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 at Wilson & Jarrett Funeral Home Chapel in Morrilton.
