Canady
May 3, 1960 — Sep 6, 2026
Morrilton
Mr. Gary "Punkin" Canady, 66 of Morrilton, Arkansas transitioned on September 6, 2026, at Brookridge Cove.
Born with a natural gift for connection, Punkin was known for his kindness, his humor, and the way he made people feel seen and appreciated. He lived his life with joy, generosity, and a warmth that touched countless lives. Those who knew him will forever remember the way he could lift spirits simply by walking into a room.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Burnett “Smiley” Canady and Geraldine “Jewel” Canady, as well as his brother, Charles Wayne “Charlie Hawk” Crawford. Knowing he is reunited with them brings comfort to those who mourn him here.
Punkin is survived by his daughter, Erisa “Nelly Pooh” Canady; his son, Garick Canady; and his brother, Greg “Scooter” Canady. He also leaves behind his nieces, Adrian “Jetta” Bell, Shantel Davis, Ashley Mitchell, Jeana’ Canady, and Alana Canady — each of whom held a special place in his heart and shared in the love he gave so freely.
