Mr. Gilbert Terry Templeton, 61 of Morrilton, Arkansas transitioned on Saturday, June 17, 2023. Gilbert was born December 25, 1961, to Theodore and Arbie Templeton in Happy Bend, Arkansas. Gilbert was a graduate of Morrilton High School in 1980. He attended College at ASU in Beebe, Arkansas. He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined the Union Baptist Missionary Church, in Morrilton, Arkansas under the leadership of Rev. E. T. Brown. He served as a Trustee, Sunday School Teacher, and Custodian. He worked at Arrow Automotive in Morrilton, Arkansas for 20 years and 22 years at Virco Mfg. in Conway, Arkansas until his health failed. He married Betty Ann Coleman Templeton in 1983 and to this union five children were born. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Willie Floyd Templeton and Timothy Edward Templeton. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 40 years, Betty Ann Templeton, three sons: Terry L. Templeton; Jermaine (Nicollette) Templeton and Maurice Templeton all of Morrilton, Arkansas; two daughters, Jasmine (Sylvester) Templeton and Tamia Templeton of Morrilton, Arkansas; brother: Tedles (Teresia) Templeton of Ottawa, Kansas; seven sisters, Margaret McAllister of Mesa, Arizona; Shirley (Felton) Dillard of Twin Groves, Arkansas; Alberta (Clarence) Lasker; Tabitha (Kenneth)Nichols and Janice Templeton of Conway, Arkansas; Betty (Cleathes) Clemons and Arbie Moore of Little Rock, Arkansas; two brother-in-laws: L. C. Coleman of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Bennie (Linda) Coleman of Atlanta, Georgia; two sister-in-laws; Corine Stripling of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Shirley Collins of St. Louis, Missouri;12 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
