Girty B. Good was born to the late Joe and Ola Hammons on January 13, 1924 in Center Ridge, Arkansas. Her husband Luther B. Good, preceded her in death. She professed a hope in Christ early in life and united with the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. She was a faithful member of the Memorial Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri for over thirty years. She served as president of the Mission Society and was a choir member. Upon her retirement from the Missouri Public School System, she returned to Arkansas and reunited with the St. Matthew No. 2 Missionary Baptisth Church. Sister Good organized the Jr. Ushers and was a member of the Sr. Choir. She was a faithful member until her health failed her. Sister Good departed this life on Wednesday, November 12, 2008at Morrilton Healthcare Center Morrilton, Arkansas. She leaves to cherish her memory; two stepchildren, Annie and Bruce Good, one sister, Mazie Wright of Morrilton, Arkansas, two sisters-in-law, Delia Hammons, of Morrilton, Arkansas and Gussie Hammons of Center Ridge, Arkansas a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
