Glessie Mae Everette, 83, died Sunday, July 18, 2010 at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born September 5, 1926 in Morrilton, AR to Chesley and Ella Knox Garrett. She was a member of Spring Valley Missionary Baptist Church, Morrilton, AR under the leadership of Rev. Sherman Whitfield. Glessie remained a faithful member at Spring Valley until her health failed. Shewas preceded in death by her husband, Elijah Everette, Sr., three sons: Chester Dennis, and twins Ronnie and Donnie Everette and one daughter: Francis. Glessie leaves endearing memories with her two sons, Elijah, Jr. (Bernice) and Bobby (Paula) of Little Rock; three daughters, Roberta Young (Billy) of Blytheville, Beverly Toney (Robert) and Sharon Everette of Morrilton; one brother-in-law, William Frank Everette (Lillian) of Kansas City, KS; 12 grandchildren: Kenny (Joy) of Conway, Myron of Texarkana, Tiffany (Tyrone), Braylon, Tisa, Shalon, Angela of Little Rock, Keyunte of Omaha, Antonio of Dallas, TX, Morgan (Tomeka) of Sherwood, Jeremy of Memphis, TN and Ryan of Pine Bluff and 16 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a treasure trove of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family and friends. Family hour is Friday, July 23, 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Spring Valley Missionary BaptistChurch, 352 Pinter Lane, Morrilton, AR. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Matthew #2 Missionary Baptist Church, 1600 West Church Street, Morrilton,Arkansas with Rev. Sherman Whitfield officiating. Burial will be at Spring Valley Cemetery.
