Gloria Dean Jackson, age 67, of Menifee, Arkansas passed away, Sunday, March 20, 2011. She was born to the union of John Lee Henry Sr. and Charlene Heath Henry on April 11, 1943 in Warren, Arkansas. Her devoted grandmother, the late Ms. Emma Henry raised her. Gloria Dean attended high school in Warren. She played on the girl's basketball team. After graduation, on August 28, 1961, she married her childhood sweetheart, James Horace Jackson.He preceded her in death. She and her husband moved to Flagstaff, Arizona. She worked as a nurse for 30+ years. She and her husband were also owners of a grocery store. Gloria Dean was a devoted, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a devout Christian and faithful member of Zion Temple Church of God in Christ in Conway, Arkansas. She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Jonesof Conway, AR and Melinda Singleton of Fayetteville, AR, one sister, Juanita Williams of Pittsburg, PA, one brother, Johnny Henry, Jr., two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral service for Mrs. Jackson will be Friday,March 25, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Zion Temple Church of God inChrist in Conway, by Rev. Willie L. Owens, Jr. Entombment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park, 2801 Asher Avenue in Little Rock, AR .
