Gussie Hammons, age 95, of Center Ridge, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018. Born December 12, 1922, she was the daughter of the late James and Lucy Hawkins. She is survived by seven children, Matthew (Thelma) Hammonds, Larry (Diane) Hammons of Center Ridge, Arkansas, Geneva (Joe) Credit of Mayflower, Arkansas, Mable (J.C.) Brown, David Hammons, Maebell Hammons of Kansas City, Missouri, Mark (Dawn) Hammons of Atlanta, Georgia, one sister, Lucille Morris of Kansas City, Missouri, 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. Funeral service for Mrs. Hammons will be Saturday, April 21, 2018, 10:30 A.M. at Friendship Missionary Baptist in Center Ridge, Arkansas by Rev. Luke Hawkins. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery in Center Ridge, Arkansas.
