Ila Faye Brown Evins was born July 18, 1928 in Solgohachia, Arkansas to the late Ola Cooper and Luther Brown. Ila accepted Christ at an early age and united with Pilgrim Baptist Church, Tucker Mountain under the pastorage of Rev. J.R. Jamison. She graduated from Conway County Training School in Menifee, Arkansas. Ila was united in holy matrimony to Buford Williams in 1947. To this union, three children were born, Robert, Kathy and Margo. She later united in marriage with Joe Evins. To this union, one child was born, Ila Joann Evins. Ila was preceded in death by Joe Evins, her son Robert and two grandsons, Ahkii and Jamar. Ila worked for Conway County Hospital for many years and later worked for Conagra where she retired from in 1986. After retirement, she volunteered at Morrilton Care Center. As a volunteer, she received an award for Outstanding Service. In 2006, Ila relocated from Morrilton, AR to Aurora, CO where she has resided with her daughter Margo and son-in-law, Michael. Ila has always been a devoted mother and grandmother, until the end. She truly believed in making sacrifices for all her children. Ila departed this life April 12, 2011 in Aurora, CO. She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Kathy Williams Jones of Asheville, NC, Margo Williams McClinton (Michael) of Aurora, CO and Ila Joann Hervey of Little Rock, AR, thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Funeral service for Mrs. Evins will be Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Light of the World Church of God in Christ in Morrilton by Elder Dewitt Brockman. Family visitation will be Friday, April 22 from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. in the chapel. Burial will be at Pilgrim Cemetery in Solgohacia.
