Obituary

Mr. James Wilborn, 78 of Conway, Arkansas transitioned on Monday September 11, 2023, at Heritage Living Center. Deacon James Edward Wilborn was born to the late Arthur Pirtle and the late Julia Haynes. On October 22, 1944, in Marvell, Arkansas he professed his hope in Christ at New Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. S.L. Scott. He remained a faithful member until moving to Morrilton, Arkansas and united with Jehovah Jireh Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor Grant Hill. James was a deacon at the church and sang in the choir. James worked at Arkansas Valley wholesale Company and Tyson Foods. He was united in holy matrimony to Coma Parks Wilborn. He is preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Callie Pirtle; adopted parents, Sank and Elnora Wilborn; siblings, Essie Freeman, Bobbie Baker, Wilie Berry, Katherine Pirtle, Earl Pirtle, Eugene Pirtle, Walter Chamber, Edwin Pirtle, John Pirtle, James Edward Pirtle, Jr., He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Coma Wilborn, six daughters, Carol (John) Barnes, Shelia Thomas, Lucretia Pirtle, Andrea (Frankie) Kelly, Ashley (Chad) Pitts and Karen Wilborn; two sons; Charles (Gloria) Wilborn and Joshua Parks; three sisters, Alice (Willie) Springs, Cora Selvy, and Josephine Pirtle; three brothers, Leroy (Marva) Pirtle, Willie (Irma) Wilborn, McArthur Pirtle; 38 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren. Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.
