John Lee (Johnny) Rainey, age 66 of Morrilton, Arkansas passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017. Born April 18, 1951 in Hattieville, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Levester and Pearl Patterson Rainey. He is survived by his wife Delois Jean Rainey of Morrilton, Arkansas, two sons, Kente (Tina) Reed of Conway, Arkansas and Kenneth Reed of Morrilton, Arkansas, five daughters; Machelle Johnson, Vondra Rainey and Terri Rainey all of Morrilton, Arkansas, Terrell (Derrick) Jones of Hattieville, Arkansas and Brittany Mitchell of Little Rock, Arkansas, two sisters, Loretha (Glen) Wright of Hattieville, Arkansas and Lula Howard of Morrilton, Arkansas, 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral service for Mr. Rainey will be Saturday, January 6, 2018 at New Prospect Baptist Church in Cleveland, Arkansas by Pastor Charles Brown. Interment will be in New Mt. Zion Cemetery in Hattieville, Arkansas. The body will lie in state from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the church the day of the funeral. Public viewing will be from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Friday, January 5, 2018 at Wilson & Jarrett Funeral Home Chapel.
