Obituary

Mr. Keith Abrams 62, of Plumerville, Arkansas transitioned on Thursday, July 23, 2026. Keith Allen “Smooth” Abrams was born April 2, 1964, to the late Ruby McCoy and James Taliffero. He was preceded in death by his parents. Keith accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior under the leadership of Rev. Odell Pennington and joined the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. He was active in Sunday School and attended Vacation Bible School and discovered a passion for singing. He served as the lead singer for the Mt Carmel Carmeliars under the direction of Rev. Andrew Balenton and later sang with the Mt Carmel Male Chorus under the direction of Bro. Burnell Canady. He was proud to perform “Everybody Ought to Praise His Name, known as the Robin Song.

He graduated from Morrilton High School, home of the Devil Dogs, in 1983, where he was a standout basketball player, earning all-district and all-state honors and playing in the Arkansas All-Star game.

Keith leaves to cherish his precious memory, his daughter, Alliyah Cato of Kansas City, Kansas; sisters, Deborah Nelson (Billy Joe Nelson), Sharon Abrams; brother, Kenneth Abrams; and two grandchildren, Karson Ausler and Nova Ausler. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends who will miss him dearly.

Remembered for his smile, laugh, jokes, and beautiful voice, and the love he showed others, Keith Allen “Smooth Abrams’ lived a good life, fought the good fight, and now rests in Jesus’ arms.
