Obituary

Lorean Payne Jackson was born to the late Mr. & Mrs. Harry and Corrine Payne on July 1, 1945 in Morrilton, Arkansas. On September 6, 2022, after a few days in Kindred Hospice Care at CHI St Vincent, God saw fit to take her home in reward for a life well-lived. At an early age, she professed her life to Christ and joined the Greater Union Hill Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor I.M. McCloud. Lorean was a graduate of L. W. Sullivan High School in Morrilton, Arkansas in 1963. After High School, she began her career at Levi Strauss & CO. where she worked for 31 years starting out as a Line Operator and moving into a supervisor position. After her retirement, she enjoyed sitting and caring for elderly individuals around town until her health failed.

Lorean met and married the love of her life, Floyd Jackson. To this union, two children were born. Lorean was an active leader in her church, she served as Choir President, President of Pastor Aide, and Deaconess.

Lorean is preceded in death by one brother Johnny (John) Lee Payne.

Lorean leaves to cherish her memories: her husband of 59 years Floyd Jackson of Morrilton, Arkansas; two sons, Lloyd Jackson of Morrilton, Arkansas and Frederick (Tyresha) Jackson of Conway, Arkansas; one granddaughter Noelle Jackson of Dallas, Texas; three grandsons, Thomas Lloyd (Kristyn) Jackson of Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Christopher Jackson of Conway, Arkansas and Reggie Toney of Plumerville, Arkansas; four sisters, Helen Ruth Payne Hampton of Morrilton, Arkansas, Helen Louise Payne of Morrilton, Arkansas, Dorothy (Ronald) Carter of Conway, Arkansas and Mildred (Tommy) Walker of Little Rock, Arkansas; two brothers Ray Charles (Charlotte) Payne of Menifee, Arkansas, Terry (Doris) Payne of Morrilton, Arkansas, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.
