Mr. Louis Earl Leapheart 66, of Morrilton, Arkansas transitioned on Saturday, January 20, 2024. He was born May 8,1957 to Inez (Henson) and E.L. Leapheart. He was the fifth child born to this union. Louis was a devoted father, brother and friend to many. At an early age, he joined St. Matthew #3 Missionary Baptist Church. He graduated from Morrilton High School in 1975. He was a member of the 1971 football state championship winning team as well as 1973 Boys basketball state championship team. He went on to attend Arkansas Tech University for a short time. Louis Earl was an avid Fisherman. He loved freshwater fishing. He fished many lakes around central Kansas while he lived there and went on to fish lakes near the Kansas City during his time there. When he returned home to Arkansas you could easily find him near a river or a local fishing hole making bringing in a big catch! Louis made a living painting homes. If you ever worked with him or had work done by him you knew he had a passion for it being done to perfection. When it came to indoor past time he had a unique skill of watching 3-4 channels at once! He may have been watching sports (all kinds) as well as some history show, the local news and a random movie. Coming from a large family Louis loved holding all the newborn babies and babies loved him back. Anyone who knew Louis Earl would easily have known his greatest accomplishments were his children and grandchildren. A tribute of pictures of them can be found on the wall next to his lazy boy rocking chair. Louis is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, host of aunts and uncles, brother Charles Leapheart; sisters Patricia Ann Canady and Mae Ester Leapheart; niece, Beverly Betts Matthews and nephew Matthew Franklin and special cousin Vanessa Buycks.
