Louisa ""Granny"" McDowell Strickland, 83, of Morrilton, was born June 3, 1930 in Morrilton, Arkansas to the late Carter Rosbia and Octavia Kemp Rosbia. She passed away on Friday, August 16, 2013. She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, David (Jacqueline) McDowell, Sr. of Little Rock, Arkansas and Harold (Mavis) Strickland of Morrilton, Arkansas,three daughters, Mary (Bobby) Clemons of Plumerville, Arkansas, Laura (Jesse) George and Hattie Strickland of Morrilton, Arkansas; one sister, Melinda Lafayette of Morrilton, Arkansas; one brother, Herman (Joyce) Rosbia of Pasadena, California, seven grandsons, six granddaughters, fivegreat-grandsons and six great-granddaughters, one great grandson, Karter, due in September and one great-grandson, Kesaun, due in October, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. McDowell Strickland will be Friday, August 23, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Greater UnionHill Missionary Baptist Church 58 Sandtown Road in Morrilton, Arkansas by Rev. John Marble, Sr. Burial will be in Owens Cemetery in Plumerville, Arkansas. The body will lie in state from 10:00A.M. to 11:00 A.M.at the church the day of the funeral. Public viewing will be Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M at the funeral home.
