Mae Ester Wright was bornJune 4, 1942 to the late Theoda and Sarah Canady in Cleveland, AR. She departed this life on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at River Valley Hospice Facility in Russellville, AR. . She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Moores Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church. Herservice and dedication to the church was expressed in many ways. Mae wasclass leader, Steward Board member, Missionary President, and leader of Leaders Committee. She also sang in the mass choir until her healthno longer allowed her to. Mae attended Center School and is a part of the Menifee class of 1961. Mae also obtained her GED from Petit Jean Vo-Tech in 1992. She retired from Levi Strauss in 1996 after completing 28 years of service. She united in holy matrimony on November 24, 1958 to Willie James Wright. To this union, nine children were born. Mae enjoyed her family, talking on the phone, and listening to music. Mae was preceded in death by her parents:Theoda and Sarah Canady; two sons: Martin and Baby Boy Wright and two grandsons, Trey Wright and Byron Martin Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband Willie Wright, three sons, James (Edith), David (Christy) and Joseph (Shunaka) Wright all of Morrilton, AR., step-son Roy (Christina) Byers of Hot Springs, AR, four daughters: Anita (Gene) Canady, Barbara and Shawna Wright of Morrilton, AR and Willene (Cortez) Scott of Vicksburg, MS. five brothers: Runall (Sharon) Canady of Denver, CO. Curtiss (Carlene) Canady of Morrilton, AR, Kelsey (Mary) Canady of Aurora, CO, Theauther (Gwen) Canady of Kansas City, MO and Charles Canady of Conway, AR., twenty-eight grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren as well as a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Her first love was Jesus and the second was family. She will be missed and never forgotten.
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him! How I've proved Him o'er and o'er; Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus! Oh, for grace to trust Him more! Oh, for grace to trust Him more!
