Nevada Porter, 69 of Hot Springs, Arkansas transitioned on Sunday, July 21, 2024. Mrs. Nevada Faye Porter was born September 11, 1954, to Robert Earl and Nevada Rosbia in Russellville, Arkansas. Growing up she loved music. At the age of 3 she started making music on a toy piano. After that discovery, her mother decided to enroll her in music classes. From there she enhanced her skills over the years becoming a great musician. As a young girl she moved with her family to Coffeyville, Kansas due to her father's job transfer from 1959 to 1962 where they later moved to Paola, Kansas where she finished elementary school until she graduated from Paola High School in 1972. After graduation she went to college in Coffeyville for a few years. Later on, she met a young man named Kenneth Porter in Salina, Kansas. In November of 1975, they got married in Wichita, Kansas. Through that union they welcomed a son Clifton Stefon Porter on August 15, 1976. In the same year, Nevada and Kennth got divorced. She became a wonderful single mother raising her son for the first 11 years of his life until her parents Robert and Nevada took full custody of Clifton for her wellbeing. Nevada Faye stayed in Wichita, Kansas from 1975 until 2002 to where she moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas until the day of her passing. She is proceeded in death by her parents and oldest sister, Linda Ersery. Nevada leaves to cherish her memories a son; Clifton Porter, sister; Rose Johnson and her nieces and nephews. Nevada Faye Porter is there in heaven and is among other angels She's only gone on ahead of you, Not just left you behind.
