Obituary

Mrs. Reola White 88, of Morrilton, Arkansas transition on Monday, March 4, 2024, at Baptist Health-Little Rock. Reola Byers White was born to the late James and Ida Byers on December 17, 1935, in Cleveland, Arkansas. She was the first of five children. She was educated in the Center School and Conway County Training School in Menifee, Arkansas. Very early in life she accepted Christ and became a member of Moore's Chapel A.M. E. Zion Church in Cleveland, Arkansas, where she served as class lead and deaconess. On April 3, 1956, Reola married Mildren White to this union ten children were born. Reola work history began at Bell & Bows later named Morrilton Early Child Development, where she retired from after 54 plus years of service. She was the best cook. She was especially known for her homemade yeast rolls. Reola was mother to more than just her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a mother to the community. She was also known for having a green thumb when it came to plants. One of her favorite pastimes was watching The Young & The Restless and The Bold and The Beautiful. She loved and adored all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. It brought her so much joy being around her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one daughter Vivian White. She leaves to cherish her memory five sons; Alton (Ramona) White of Kansas City, MO, Jarvis (Tracey) White of Cleveland, AR, Stafford White and Maurice White both of Morrilton, AR, Adolf White of Conway, AR; four daughters, Marilyn (Michael Sr.) Hammons, Melissa (Tramail) Hervey, Doris (Dwayne) Foster, all of Morrilton, AR, Jocelyn (Benjamin) Black of Plumerville, AR; three brothers, James Byers of Cleveland, AR, Larry Byers and Robert Byers both of Kansas City, MO; one sister, Maeola Jenkins of Kansas City, MO; one brother-in-law, Sammy Rainey of Kansas City, MO; 22 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
