Rev. Dr. Perry Lee Alexander, age 79 of Smithfield, Rhode Island formerly of Mt. Vernon, Arkansas passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020.

Born September 19, 1940 in Mt. Vernon, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Theodore and Nannie Alexander.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Rev. Alexander leaves behind a loving and devoted wife, Elizabeth, two daughters, Erika E. A. Brown (Michael) and Erin Alexander Edwards (Christon), and one granddaughter, Averi Grace Brown, 20 months, whom he lovingly called Sugarfoot, two sisters, Velma Counts of Charlotte, North Carolina, Gladys Harris (Lonnie) of Conway, Arkansas, two brothers, Theodas Alexander (Lela) of Springfield, Arkansas, Rev. Larry Alexander (Lenora) of Jonesboro, Arkansas and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Private graveside service will be by Rev. Delaney Fleming
