Rev. Bryan E. Cox, age 54 of Conway, Arkansas passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018. Born January 11, 1964 in Kansas City, Kansas, he was the son of Bobby E. Cox (deceased) and Vivian L. Cox. Rev. Cox accepted the Lord at an early age and was baptized at the Pleasant Green Baptist Church, Kansas City, Kansas, under the pastoral leadership of Rev. David L. Gray. Rev. Cox had a pastor's heart and loved to preach and teach God's word. His heart's desire was to lead people to a holistic life in Christ Jesus. Rev. Cox served as pastor of Pilgrim Rest #1 Baptist Church, Russellville, Arkansas. Later, Rev. Cox planted New Life Baptist Church in Conway, Arkansas where he served as pastor until his eternal transition. He is survived by his wife, Alma Jean Cox of Conway, Arkansas, his mother, Vivian L. Cox of Conway, Arkansas, three sons, Bryan Jr. of Independence, Missouri and Tyler and Taylor of Lake Charles, Louisiana; two step-sons, Jonathon (Ramica) Westbrook of Kansas City, Kansas and Michael (Erreshae) Westbrook of Conway, Arkansas; one step-daughter, Kimberly Westbrook of Kansas City, Kansas; one brother David (April) of Conway, Arkansas; two sisters, Bobbie Renee (Tony) Dilworth of Kansas City, Missouri and Phillesia (Tolly) Hawkins of Menifee, Arkansas and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Visitation for Rev. Cox will be Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kansas. Funeral service for Rev. Cox will be at 11:00 A.M. following the visitation. Interment will be in Highland Park Cemetery in Kansas City, Kansas.
