Brother Richard L. Leake was born February 2, 1928 to the late Ben Leake and Rosa Lee Edington. Brother Leake professed a hope in Christ at an early age. He was a member of Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church where he remained a faithful member until his health began to fail. Brother Leake departed this life on July 15, 2010. His wife, Bertha L. Leake, onedaughter, Shirley Clayton, twosons, Chris Leake and Charles Leake all preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Richard Leake Jr., of Memphis, TN, one son-inlaw, Luther Clayton of Memphis, TN, one stepdaughter, Betty Bridgeford (Gerald) of Kansas City, MO, eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, nineteen great-great-grandchildren, three sisters-inlaw, Theresa Scott and Orene Osler both of Menifee, Arkansas, Zella Osler of Kansas City, MO and a host of nieces nephews, family and friends. Funeral service for Mr. Leake will be Saturday July 24, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church in Menifee, AR by Rev. Dwayne Courtney. Burial will be at Menifee Community Cemetery.
