Mr. Robert Earl Wallace, 79 of Morrilton, Arkansas transitioned from Labor to Reward on Monday, February 21, 2022 at University of Arkansas for the Medical Sciences - Little Rock.Robert (Bob) Earl Wallacewas born November 3, 1942 in Morrilton, Arkansas,to the late Elvin Wallace, Sr. and Josephine Garrison Wallace.
At an early age, Robert professed his faith in Christ and joined Hopewell Presbyterian Church. He completed his high school education at Eastside High School in Menifee, Arkansas and moved away from the state of Arkansas and landed work in the New York City area.
Robert was married to Martha Williams and to this union two children were born, one son, Sean O'Shea Wallaceand one daughter, Genese Louise Wallace Walton.
Robert worked in the maintenance department for York College in New York City from 1988 until he retired in 2006. Following his retirement, he relocated to his hometown of Morrilton, Arkansas. He reactivated his membership at Hopewell Presbyterian Church and became ordained as an Elder. Robert was very supportive of church activities, where he attended Sunday School regularly, assisted with offerings or wherever he was needed. Robert loved people, loved to travel and liked to have fun. He enjoyed watching sports, mainly football and basketball.He also enjoyed watching the old western shows.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Elvin Wallace, Sr. and Josephine Garrison Wallace;wife, Martha Williams; son, Sean OShea Wallaceand four siblings: Corine Annette Reese, Ella Louise McClain, Frances Lynn Wallace and Elvin Wallace, Jr.
He leaves to mourn his passing, cherish his memories and celebrate his life, a loving family: one daughter, Genese (Jamel) Louise Wallace Walton, four granddaughters: Meika L. Wallace, Taylor Martha Walton, Tori Frances Walton, and Geneva Wallace, two grandsons: Sean Terry Wallace, Jr., and Shatonn Wilkinson. Siblings;Janet (Ulysses) Coeteal Wallaceof Morrilton, Arkansas, James (Deborah) Edward Wallace, Arthur (Beverly) Joe Wallace, Annie (Eddie) Bell House, and Willie (Berdina) George Wallace all of Denver, Colorado, Billy (Vanessa) Joe Wallaceof Paola, Kansas, Jerry (Yun) Clifton Wallaceof Tacoma Washington, Thomas Harold Wallace of Morrilton, Arkansas, Susan (Willie) Renee Morris and David Allen Wallace both of Little Rock, Arkansas and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Faithful till death said our loving master; a few more days to labor and wait Toils of the road will then seem as nothing as we sweep through the beautiful gates Farther along we'll know all about it... Yes, we'll understand it all by and by
