Ronald Curtis Murphy was born November 22, 1953 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Hattie (Nichols) Murphy McCullor and Elmer Murphy. He departed this life Sunday, Jaunuary 25, 2009 at the Medical Center in Memphis, TN. He was preceded in death by his father E.L. McCullor, half-brother Elmer Murphy Jr, and a half-sister Helen (Murphy) Alexander. He was educated in the Little Rock School District where his activities included Arkansas Boys Stateand Who's Who among American High School Students. He attended Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, AR, where he majored in Business Administration. Ronald was baptized into Christ by Bro. Warren Williams at Howard Street Church of Christ in Little Rock, AR. He was a faithful and loyal member of Harrison and Willow Street Church of Christ for many years. He attended the Menifee Church of Christ for the last year. Ronald was a certified HazMat driver and he has driven all over the United States. He also has received numerous safety awards from multiple employers. He was a member of the Local Teamsters Union No. 878. Ronald was good with his hands and could fix anything. He enjoyed repairing old cars, wood working, gardening and working in the yard. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Ronald leaves to cherish his memory wife, Donna (Hall) Murphyof Conway, AR; four daughters, P. Dawn Murphy of Jacksonville, AR, Pinky Murphy of Chicago, IL, Candace Murphy of Little Rock, AR and Sydney Murphy of Conway, AR; his loving mother, Hattie (Nichols) McCullor of Little Rock, AR; father, Elmer Murphy of Chicago, IL; brothers, Granville Murphy of Chicago, IL, Gerald McCullor and Derwin McCullor of Little Rock, AR and a half- brother Rick Johnson of Shreveport, LA; a special sister Phyllis McCullor, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Regina McCullor of Little Rock, AR and a half-sister Bobbie Gonzalez of Oakland, CA; a granddaughter, Angel J. Mapp of Jacksonville, AR; two uncles, Roy McCullor of Lancaster, CA and Melvin McCullor of Oceanside, CA and a host of nieces, nephwes, relatives and friends.
