Roy Ellison Odom, age 82, long-time resident and business man of Kansas City, Missouri (formerly of Plumerville, Arkansas), passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018. Born February 27, 1935 in Plumerville, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Delois ""Jack"" and Normendia G. (Sneed) Odom. He was a graduate of Plumerville High School. Mr. Odom, a United States Army Veteran, owned businesses, Roy's Gold Lounge, 2717 Troost Avenue and Deluxe Bar-B-Que, 2912 Brooklyn in Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Ruth (Lambert) Odom, his parents and his wife, Willena O. (Williams) Odom. He is survived by one daughter, Normendia Renee' Odom-McNeal (Ross) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, three sons; Terry B. Williams of Sulphur Springs, Texas, James (Jimmy) Canady of Kansas City, Missouri and Michael Clay of Morrilton, Arkansas, one brother, Joe Louis Odom (Georgia Mae) of Kansas City, Missouri and one grandchild, De'Brion D. McNeal of Elizabeth, Kentucky. Funeral service for Mr. Odom will be Saturday, February 3, 2018, 1:00 P.M. at Greater Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Plumerville, Arkansas by Rev. Charles Morris. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Plumerville, Arkansas. Public viewing will be from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Friday, February 2, 2018 at Wilson & Jarrett Funeral Home Chapel
