Obituary

Roy Lee, ""Big Boy"" Williams Sr. was born to the late L. Brady and Lilia Tucker Williams. He was the youngest of five children and the last surviving child born to this union. Roy Lee was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Roy L. Williams Jr., three brothers, Alphonso (Son) Hayes, Lee Willie (L.W. Williams) and Steve Williams, one sister, Mossie Lee Campbell. Roy Lee experienced his transition on Monday, March 24, 2014 at Saint Vincent Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. He heard God call his name and he went to meet the Lord. Roy Lee proclaimed Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. He began his walk with Christ as a member of the Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, Plumerville, AR, where he remained a member until his death. He received his education from the Plumerville School and the Conway County Training School in Menifee, AR. ""Big Boy"" was employed by the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company. He retired after 38 years. Roy Lee was blessed to experience the love and joy of four generations. He was united in holy matrimony to Dorothy Black. Ten children were blessed to this union. He leaves to cherish his memories; his loving wife, Dorothy Mae Black Williams, of Plumerville, Arkansas, two sons, Mitchell Black (Sandra) of Morrilton, Arkansas Wayne Williams (LaKeshia) of Plumerville, Arkansas, eight daughters, Anita Williams, Dessie Williams, Stephanie Crenshaw (Larry) of Plumerville, Arkansas, Doris Payne (Terry) of Morrilton, Arkansas, Myra Williams of Conway, Arkansas, Frances Jones of Florisant, Missouri, Donnita Faye Jenkins of Alaska and Terrica Williams of Conway, Arkansas. He was Papa to twenty grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. A loving uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. He will be forever loved and missed by his many cousins, friends and especially his church family. Funeral servicefor Roy Lee Williams is Saturday, March 29, 2014, Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, 105 Arnold Street, Plumerville, Arkansas, by Rev. David E. Cox, burial at Owens Cemetery, Plumerville, Arkansas by Wilson & Jarrett Funeral Home, Morrilton, Arkansas. Public viewing isfrom 2pm - 6pm Friday, March 28, 2014. Pallbearers; Terrance Payne, Richard Jefferson, Derrick Jones, Antonio Walls, Edward Walls, Garrick Walls, Tyrone Willis, James Robinson, Donald Price and Tremayne Cain.
