Shawna Renee Franklin-Jackson was born January 3, 1958 in Morrilton, Arkansas. She was the second born child of Betty Bland Franklin and the late Rayford Franklin, Sr. Shawna was a devoted member of St. Paul AME Church where she served as an usher and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Shawna's earthly journey ended with her passing August 4, 2016. Shawna is preceded in death by her father, Rayford Franklin, Sr., brother, Rayford Franklin, Jr., husband, Jewell Bond Jackson, Jr. and mother-in-law, Ernestine Downs Jackson. She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Betty Bland Franklin, brother, Michael (Kathy) Franklin, Sr., sister, Deirdre Franklin Wilkins, sisters-in-law Tammy Franklin, Chandra Jackson of Russellville and Brenda L. Martin of California, two stepchildren, Marcus and Melody Jackson both of Memphis, Tennessee and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral service for Mrs. Jackson will be Friday, August 12, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul A.M.E. Church 309 N. Division St., Morrilton, Arkansas by Rev. Beverly White. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill #2 Cemetery, State Highway 64 in Kenwood, Arkansas.
