Theauthor (Thea) Dorris Payne, age 74, of Morrilton, Arkansas passed away Friday, February 26, 2021.

Born March 24, 1946, he was the son of Emmett Jerry Payne and Lorine Wright Payne.

He was a veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by one son, Dale McCleve Payne, one daughter, Erma Jean Brown, two brothers, Dale (Arnetta) Payne of Detroit, Michigan, Curtis (Vickie) Payne of Conway, Arkansas and one sister, Doris (Tommie) Allen of Omaha, Nebraska. Graveside service is 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 5, 2021 at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Plumerville, Arkansas by Minister Glen Wright.

Public walk through viewing will be from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Wilson & Jarrett Funeral Home.

The family respectfully requests that masks be worn, social distancing be maintained, and close contact be kept to a minimum.
