Mrs. Vera Lee Black Cross, 68 of Plumerville, Arkansas transitioned on November 3, 2022.Vera was born on May 18, 1954, to the late Herman L. Black and Venora Harris Black. She professed her life to Christ at an early age and joined Shady Grove Baptist Church and later joined Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church where she remained faithful until her health failed her. She was a 1972 graduate of Plumerville High School. She was a retiree from Levi Strauss and Company. Vera leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted husband of 46 years, Duel Cross, of Plumerville, AR; two daughters, Marketta (Toney) Canady of Plumerville, AR; Tamberly (Jameel) Cross of Morrilton, AR; two grandchildren, Tamera Criswell and Javionne Porchay of Plumerville, AR; four brothers, Billy (Shyrice) Black of Russellville, AR; Robert Black of Morrilton, AR; Edward (Flora) Walls of Plumerville, AR and Regis (Rose) Watts of Savanna, GA; nine sisters, Mattie (James) Brewer of Springfield, AR; Gracie Williams, of Plumerville, AR; Janice Walls, of Plumerville, AR; Brenda Black, of Plumerville, AR; Veronica (Earnest) Lambert, of Plumerville, AR; Donna Black of Menifee, AR; Aurelia Black of Plumerville, AR; Sharon Abrams of Plumerville, AR and Patricia Watts of Fort Worth, TX; two special friends, Linda Hardiman and Barbara Wilson and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
