Mr. Virgil Leon Blackwell the son of Alfred and Donie Blackwell, was born June 30, 1932 in Morrilton, Arkansas. He departed this life December 9, 2009 at Conway Regional Medical Center, Conway, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Jewel Houmbert and Emma Louise Hervey, Ruby Gorman and daughter, Patty Dillard. He leaves to mourn his passing; his loving wife, Almenta Blackwell of Damascus, Arkansas, his daughters, Arlinda Blackwell English, of Plumerville,Arkansas Peggy Lee Blackwell of Russellville, Arkansas Frances Smith of California, Sharon Boyd of Little Rock, AR, Latonya Payne of Springfield, Arkansas, Mae Lyon, Marcie Dillard and Darrell Dillard all of Damascus, Arkansas, grandchildren; Jymond English, Lonisha Abrams, Tyler English, Javin Tolbert, Ayanna Bell, Brandon Dillard, Dexter Dillard, Zalmenta Lyon, Janoea Keaton, Mychia Dillard and a host of relatives and friends.Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. St. Matthew No 2 Missionary Baptist Church, Morrilton, AR by Dr. Henry Harris. Interment Oddsfellow Cemetery Morrilton, AR.
