Brother W. J. Switzer was born in the Northview community, Conway County, Arkansas on March 16, 1910. He departed this life early on Sunday, December 27, 2009. His parents Will and Della Switzer preceded him in death. His wife, Esther Lee Harris Switzer, four sisters and four brothers also preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn is death, two daughters, Juanita (Wilson) Hyman of Chesapeake, Virginia and Sharon Jones of Little Rock, Arkansas, five sons, Willie (Ella) Switzer, James Switzer, Nathaniel Switzer all of Springfield, Arkansas, Stelton (Elvira) of Portsmouth, Virginia and David (Brinda)Switzer of Little Rock, Arkansas, thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild along with many nieces, nephews and a host of friends and loved ones. Brother Switzer attended public school in Conway County. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a devoted and faithful member of Holy Springs Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board. Everyone who knew W.J. will remember that he instilled a strong work ethic in his children and grandchildren. W.J. spent many years working hard while raising his younger children as a single parent.
