Mr. William Henson, Jr. 64, of Kansas City, Missouri transitioned on March 30, 2026, at St. Lukes in Kansas City, Missouri. William E. Henson, Jr. was born September 27, 1961, to the late William and Ora Henson. William professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was a member of New Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Cleveland, Arkansas.
Later in his adult life he moved to Kansas City, Missouri to be closer to his daughter. While he was there, he met his longtime companion Brigette Jordan, whom he spent 25 plus years with.
William is preceded in death by his parent, sister, Beverly Henson; brother, Glenn Henson; grandparents, Johnny and Jaretha Canady, Alfred and Ida Henson.
William leaves to mourn his passing; daughter, Anika (Tim) Washington of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Angel and King Washington of Kansas City, MO.; sisters, Anita (Bobby) Mitchell of Russellville, AR., Kimberly (Kim) Branson of Little Rock, AR.; aunts Ivo Foster, Bettye Funderburke and Clardine Canady all of Kansas City, Mo., Alamarie Smith of Niles, MI., Rosemary (Neal) Payne of Conway, AR., Terri (Ketch) Fowler of Orlando, FL.; his longtime companion Brigette Jordan and her kids; Michael and Marlon Jordan, her grandkids, great grandkids all of Kansas City, MO and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
God saw you were getting weaker,
So he did what he knew was best.
He came and stood beside you
and whispered,
"Come to me and rest."
