William Charles Leverett, age 90 of Goodyear, Arizona (formerly of Plumerville, Arkansas) passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016. Born March 1, 1926, he was the son of Charles Leverett and Hannah Osler Leverett. He was a retired educator who believed strongly in the development of young minds. He invested his time and talents in helping to make this a reality. In preparation, he earned his Bachelor's, Master's and Doctorate Degrees. Over the span of his career, he served as Principal of five schools before retiring in 1991. Survivorsinclude his wife, Glenda Gail Leverett of Goodyear, Arizona, two adoptedchildren, Marva Louise McDuffie and Larry Eugene Evans, three grandchildren, Jamilia McDuffie, Fanta McDuffie and Damani Kamara, one great-grandchild, Evan Julius ""Charles"" McDuffie, sister in-law, Deborrah (Tom) Silvestri,numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service for Mr. Leverett will be Monday, April 25, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Plumerville, Arkansas by Dr. David E. Cox. Interment will be in Edmondson Cemetery in Plumeville.
