Willie Robert (Billy) Kindle, son of the late Ollie and Ella Mae Kindle was born August 10, 1946 in Morrilton, Arkansas. After graduating from L.W. Sullivan High School in Morrilton, Willie was the first African American to receive the Winthrop Rockefeller Scholarship. Continuing his education, he moved to Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Penn Valley Community College in 1979 and Rockhurst College in 1981 in Kansas City, MO. After completing the Missouri State Board of Accounting, he worked for Anheuser-Busch as a CPA. In 1996 he was certified by the National Development Council in Kansas City, MO as a housing finance professional, he worked with numerous nonprofit housing development groups before returning to Morrilton. He enjoyed fishing and sitting on the front porch. He gave his life to Christ at an early age and was a member of Trinity C.M.E. Churchin Morrilton, Arkansas. He was loving, kind and a free spirit. He is survived by his sons: Willie L. Howze of Los Angeles, CA, and Gerod Kindle of Dallas, TX,daughters, Sharon Howze of Harbor City, CA and Bridgette Robes of Las Vegas, NV, one brother Charles Kindle and one sister Sandra Black (Mitchell)both of Morrilton, five grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. . Funeral service for Mr. Kindle will be Friday, February 17, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Trinity C.M.E. Church 402 N. Chestnut St. in Morrilton by Rev. Derrick Wilbert. The body will lie in state at the church from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M.the day of the funeral. Burial will be in Oddfellows cemetery in Morrilton.
