Willie Earl Payne, age, 74 of Morrilton, Arkansas passed away Friday, January 2, 2015. Born March 5, 1940 in Morrilton, he was the son of Amos and Aretha Payne.He was the youngest of 12 children. Willie Earl graduated from L. W. Sullivan High School.After graduation, he moved to California and began working at Trend Mills, a carpet manufacturer and became manager two years later. He married his high school sweetheart, Mable Henson, in 1961.Two sons William Douglas and Edward LaMonte were born. In 1981 Willie Earl moved back to Arkansas and worked as a landscaper throughout the Morrilton area.He also became a member of the Greater Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church until his passing. Survivors include two sons, William Payne of Los Angeles, California and Monte Payne of Little Rock, Arkansas, two sisters; Macnolia Richardson and Mae Lee Richardson both of Morrilton, six grandchildren, Charles, LaMonte, Shararis, Erin, Joshua and Courtney, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. Funeral service for Mr. Payne will be Saturday, January 10, 2015 11:00 A.M. at Greater Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Morrilton by Rev. Ronald G. Chargois. Interment will be in Owens Cemetery in Plumerville, Arkansas. Public viewing will be Friday, January 9, 2015 from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Wilson & Jarrett.
