Mr. Willie J. Wright, 83of Morrilton, Arkansas transitioned on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at The Blossoms at North Little Rock. Willie James Wright was born August 27, 1938 to the late Charles Ector and Daisy Lee Wright in Morrilton, AR.

Willie accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. Matthews #2. He later joined Moores Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church where he served on the board of trustees. On November 24, 1958 Willie united in holy matrimony to Mae Ester Canady, to this union nine children were born.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife; sons, Martin and Baby Boy Wright, brothers, Emmett Wright, Charles Wright, Bennie Wright, and William Wright; sisters, Marie Sango, Eula Mae McKinney and Charlene Stiger; two grandsons, Trey Wright and Byron Martin Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories; four sons, James (Edith) Wright, David (Christy) Wright, Joseph (Shunaka) Wright and Roy (Christina) Byers; four daughters, Anita (Gene) Canady, Barbara Wright, Shawna Wright, Willene (Cortez) Scott; brothers, Leonard (Leslie) Wright and Raymond Wright; sisters, Zella Mae Osler and Margaret Thrower, twenty-eight grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
